I loved the first season Heroes and I think it really can never be redone. The producers tried with Season 2, by introducing new heroes while keeping up with old ones, and that really didn’t work out, especially because of the writer’s strike. The fans wanted more action, not a bunch of slow crawling episodes leading to them all intertwining in the end. That had already been done in Season 1 to perfection. Now I feel like the writers/producers took that very literally, and are giving us all action with little room for sensible plot lines. Read more after the jump (spoilers for those who haven’t watched yet).

Sarah Palin: Minor Celebrity, Major Threat
29 September 2008Recently Sarah Palin has become a cultural phenomenon throughout this country. Whether you despise her, like most New Yorkers, or think she is the greatest thing to come into the McCain campaign, she has become a household name in a matter of a few weeks. We have never paid more attention to the Vice Presidential nominee than this year — considering that all a VP really has to do is control the Senate, and take over if the president dies. Now, this is where I think the controversy comes in. What if McCain is elected? What if he dies? Does Sarah Palin really have the skill set necessary to become president? In a time like this? I don’t think so, but many people seem to just not care. In a direct quote from my own mother “I don’t care if Sarah Palin has experience, she can go out, shoot a deer, gut it, and eat it for dinner. She is awesome.”
Paul Newman Dies at 83
27 September 2008Acting legend Paul Newman died yesterday after a long battle with cancer. He was 83 years old. Newman starred in many classic films including “Cool Hand Luke” and “Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid.” Earlier this year, he canceled plans to direct “Of Mice and Men” due to health issues. He died at his farmhouse in Connecticut, surrounded by family and friends. [MSNBC]
Project Runway Breaking News!
26 September 2008NBC Universal has won the preliminary injunction that bars The Weinstein Co from moving Project Runway to Lifetime. This is just a preliminary injunction, which means that there will be a court case, and there could still be a move — but it is a good sign for those who think the switch to Lifetime will ruin the show. For those who couldn’t care less what network they watch their beloved Tim Gunn on, it looks like Season 6 won’t be filming anytime soon. [AdWeek]
